Special Moves[]

Standard B- [Panty] Backlace[]

When pressing B, Panty pulls out her trademark pistol, Backlace. Holding B allows her to charge, and releasing B fires. Moving the directional stick in any direction makes her fire in that direction. Holding it back makes her do a backflip while firing, as holding it forward makes her roll forward and shoot. The bullets do more damage with the funky tricks.

Standard B- [Stocking] Stripes I & II[]

Like her sister, Stocking uses her trademark katanas, Stripes I & II. Holding B makes her charge up both katanas, as releasing B makes her spin in a cyclone. When spinning, she can deflect projectiles and hover in the air. She stops after a few seconds or when A or B is pressed. She can also move in any direction pointed, with the same properties as above.

Side B- [Panty] Random Pole Dance[]

With this attack, Panty randomly starts pole dancing to stun her target. This attack only works at close range, as the opponent's stun time depends on their horniness stat. For example, Frollo, the second horniest character, is stunned for much longer than Don Ramon, who has a lower horniest stat. Child characters are unaffected since they have no horniness stat.

Side B- [Stocking] See Through[]

Pressing Side B makes Stocking take a ride in the sisters convertible, See-Through. Once B is pressed, she drives forward in the facing direction, and pressing A or B makes her do a caryuken jump. The car can also drive up walls [but can't caryuken] and run over opponents.

Up B- [Panty] Cosmos Pole[]

Panty uses a stripper pole, nicknamed "The Cosmos Pole", to reach greater heights. When Up B is pressed, she immediately begins climbing, and will jump off when A or B is pressed, or when she makes it to the top. She also jumps in the direction she was currently facing.

Up B- [Stocking] Stripecopter[]

Her katanas aren't just for slicing; Up B allows Stocking to use both Stripes as a mini helicopter. This attack sucks up opponents, dealing damage, as it stops when A or B is pressed or after a few seconds.

Down B- [Panty] Ditchin'[]

Panty jumps into the foreground and switches out with Stocking.

Down B- [Stocking] Dessert Deserve[]

Stocking jumps into the foreground and switches out with Panty.

Final Smash- [Both] FLY AWAY NOW[]

Before the attack, the sister sitting out joins the other out on the field.

When the attack is initiated, both sisters do what their famous for: blatant fan service. They begin their attack to the tune of "fly away now"; while Panty takes off her panties, and Stocking, her stockings, they transform them into their appropriate weapons. Panty first fires her Backlace, stunning any opponent in the way. Stocking then slashes the stunned opponent. Finally, in typical P&S fashion, the opponent realistically blows up.

If the Backlace fails to hit an opponent, the FS awkwardly ends.

Moveset [Panty][]

Ground attacks[]

Normal[]

  • Neutral attack - A knifehand strike, followed by a pistol-whip with Backlace, followed by a 12-6 elbow. The first hit can lock, but the height of the hitbox causes it to miss small or crouching opponents on non-slanted terrain. It also has a poor damage output, only doing a total of 6% if all three hits connect. Its main purpose is to disrupt grounded approaches or combos, as well as finish a combo on its own due to its instantaneous startup.
  • Dash attack -A forward rushing pistol whip. The Bullet Arts version of this move fires her gun in front of herself. It has noticeable start-up, but travels far and acts as one of Panty's few direct KO options.
  • Forward tilt - Panty performs 3 consecutive kicks (a front kick, a spin kick, and an upward roundhouse kick), the last hit knocking the opponent diagonally upward. If up close, the subsequent hits may fail to connect. Due to its slow speed (frame 12) and low shield safety, it is of niche use compared to Panty's other moves, though it can set up aerial combos at low to mid percents or set up mindgames by canceling the move halfway.
  • Up tilt - An upwards pistol whip. Hits twice, with the first hit having set knockback and a hitbox slightly above and in front of Panty's head that does slightly more damage than on the ground, but can only hit midair opponents.
  • Down tilt - A legsweep. This lowers her hurtbox more than her crouch, allowing her to duck under most projectiles with proper timing. It works as a decent combo starter, being able to combo into forward aerial, up aerial, and a dashing up smash at low percentages.

Smash Attacks[]

  • Forward smash - Spins around the pole and tackles an opponent.
  • Up smash -Spins in place while twirling Backlace overhead. It possesses surprisingly high hitstun with low ending lag, making it a solid combo starter at low to mid percents, while still possessing decent kill power.
  • Down smash -Aims Backlace downward in front of herself and fires a paralyzing energy blast at the ground. This move has poor KO potential, instead, it is used to initiate combos. The move has slow startup as it comes out on frame 20, but has very low ending lag with only 17 frames of cooldown which makes it excellent for leading into other moves such as Cosmos Pole for a potential KO at high percents.

Other[]

  • Ledge attack -Performs a low-level roundhouse kick while climbing up.
  • 100% ledge attack -Performs a spinning low-level roundhouse kick.
  • Floor attack - A modified butterfly kick performed from a windmill (a breakdancing move).
  • Trip attack -Same as her frontal floor attack.

Aerial attacks[]

  • Neutral aerial -Spins in midair, swinging Backlace laterally around herself. It is often considered her best aerial and one of the best neutral aerials in the game for a multitude of reasons; the most notable of which is its combo potential. It can combo into all of her aerials in a very wide range of percentages, starting at 0%, and at high percentages (around 80%), it has a KO confirm into back aerial. At lower percentages (around 40-60%), it has a notorious KO setup into Random Pole Dance, although it is sometimes inconsistent because of the sweetspot's small hitbox.
  • Forward aerial - Kicks forwards.
  • Back aerial -A high-angle back kick. It is slow for a back aerial (frame 11), but acts as Panty's strongest aerial KO option outside of combos.
  • Up aerial - Performs an upward flip kick.
  • Down aerial -A split-legged axe kick. A stall-then-fall with low duration and ending lag, which allows her to safely recover afterward if used off-stage. It is a meteor smash when hitting with her heel, while its landing hit has extremely high knockback, both of which make it a viable, but punishable KOing option overall.

Grabs and throws[]

  • Grab -Performs a kneeling lunge. A hitbox appears at her hand, allowing her to grab opponents with less lag.
  • Pummel -An attack similar to the Slap Punish Attack. It has average speed, but is unique in that it consists of two hits per input. As a result, it is possible for the opponent to break free in the middle of the pummel, and thus miss the second hit entirely.
  • Forward throw -Kicks the opponent away. It is arguably her most useful throw, as it is essential to her excellent tech-chasing capabilities due to its very low launch angle. It can even combo into dash attack against some characters, although the window for it to be true is rather tight.
  • Back throw -A mid-level roundhouse kick. It can get opponents offstage, and, if the opponent's reaction is read, it can combo into Cosmos Pole; however, this combo is extremely risky, as Panty has a very good chance to self-destruct if the Cosmos Pole misses due to its high ending lag.
  • Up throw -An outside crescent kick. Does not have true combo potential; however, due to Panty's aerial presence, up throw is usually used to initiate aerial combos, as she can capitalize on the opponent's reaction.
  • Down throw -Pins the opponent on the ground, and performs an ax kick. Its high ending lag and average knockback make it a poor combo starter; the only way it can combo into attacks is to read the opponent's reaction.

Moveset [Stocking][]

Ground attacks[]

Normal[]

  • Neutral attack - A knife-hand strike, followed by an inward slash, followed by an upward slash. Alternatively, the second hit can be followed up by repeated bursts of light ether. It is Stocking's fastest move, due to its first hit coming out on frame 2. Holding down the button causes her to repeat the first hit.
  • Dash attack -A dashing attack while twirling Stripes I & II beside herself. Capable of destroying weak projectiles, but extremely damaged opponents may be knocked out before the final hit.
  • Forward tilt - An outward slash. It is very quick like her other attacks. It launches diagonally upward, allowing it to combo into itself and potentially into other attacks.
  • Up tilt -An overhead arcing slash starting from behind. Great combo potential, allowing it to combo into itself and other aerials. However, the attack has a noticeable blind spot directly behind Stocking that cannot hit shorter or low-profile characters at point-blank range behind her.
  • Down tilt -A kneeling inward slash. Stocking's most reliable combo starter, having extremely small knockback even at high percentages. It can combo into tilts and smash attacks at nearly any percentage, including a KO confirm into up smash at around 130%, or into forward smash to punish ledge regrabs or 2 frames.

Smash[]

  • Forward smash - A lunging, two-handed downward slash in front of Stocking. It comes out rather quickly for a smash attack, coming out on frame 14 when uncharged.
  • Up smash - Throws Stripes I & II above herself as it spins telekinetically, slashing above herself before picking back the sword and concluding with a twirl. It possesses somewhat low ending lag, not enough for it to combo, though it does a great job at setting up into reads or 50/50s into her other attacks and function as a great anti-air due to its long duration.
  • Down smash - Kneels and slashes around herself while performing a spinning pirouette, stretching her left leg to kick around herself simultaneously. Hits on both sides of Stocking simultaneously, with the sword being stronger while the pirouette kick is much weaker.

Other[]

  • Ledge attack -Slashes in front of herself while climbing up.
  • 100% ledge attack -Same as her frontal floor attack.
  • Floor attack -Slashes around herself while getting up.
  • Trip attack -A low-angle kick performed from a windmill.

Aerial attacks[]

  • Neutral aerial -Telekinetically spins Stripes I & II in front of herself while facing the screen. Much like Frollo's neutral aerial, it has a landing hitbox that can combo into other moves.
  • Forward aerial -A spinning outward slash in front of herself. Has a moderately wide hitbox suitable for catching jumps and for edgeguarding or gimping recoveries. Cannot autocancel in a short hop.
  • Back aerial -Flips while slashing in an upwards arch starting from below herself. It launches vertically, making it a good combo starter on landing and when used in the air. Autocancels in a short hop.
  • Up aerial - An overhead crescent slash that ends in a delayed somersault, resembling the up aerials of most of the Fire Emblem characters. The move has very low overall lag, allowing it to combo into itself multiple times. Autocancels in a short hop fast fall. The hitbox is deceptive, as despite resembling moves such as Chrom's up aerial, it mostly only hits directly above Stocking.
  • Down aerial -A delayed, upside down outward slash, resembling Marth's from Melee and Brawl. Unlike Marth's down aerial, it cannot meteor smash, instead launching opponents horizontally.

Grabs and throws[]

  • Grab -Clinches the opponent, restraining them with telekinesis.
  • Pummel -A burst of light ether.
  • Forward throw -Quickly knocks the opponent away with an energy slash. It can combo into dash attack or potentially other tilts at very low percentages. At mid-percentages, it starts putting the opponent in a tech situation, allowing for a potential jab lock or tech-chase.
  • Back throw -A wheel kick. Extremely weak, but can combo into dash attack at low percentages against fast-fallers to potentially send the opponent offstage.
  • Up throw -Telekinetically throws the opponent upward and then slashes them. Deals little damage and has little to no true combo potential other than Stripecopter/See-Through at low percentages. However, the throw is extremely fast, making it difficult to properly DI, which allows it to setup a potential juggle scenario especially at higher percentages.
  • Down throw -Places the opponent on the floor and jumps, stabbing them on the way down, akin to fellow PSG character Kneesock's down throw. Stocking's combo throw is able to lead into any aerial (except for down aerial) and See-Through/Stripes I & II. Despite being her main combo throw, it is also her strongest throw.

Taunts[]

[They both speak Japanese in their taunts, even in the english version...]

  • Down Taunt- [Panty] *picks her nose* [Stocking] *falls in love*
  • Side Taunt- Panty: What the f**ck?! [Stocking] *eats*
  • Up Taunt- [Panty] *pretending like she's taking a sh**t* / [Stocking] *spins*

Victory/Losing Poses[]

  • Victory #1- the duo sits on the sofa while kicking Chuck in the air.
  • Victory #2- Panty says: "You didn't tell me you're on a ... DIET?" and Stocking gets sad and Panty just smiles.
  • Victory #3- Panty does peekaboo on Stocking.
  • Lose- stays sad and disapointed

Character Description [Panty][]

Panty is often portrayed as a celebrity blonde and is always looking for different men to sleep with. She has low standards in men and is occasionally shown to be unsatisfied after the act. Unlike her sister Stocking, Panty doesn't take her job as a ghost-hunter seriously. Instead, she focuses on fulfilling her personal goal of sleeping with one thousand men during her stay on Earth. Panty is often considered to be the personification of the deadly sin, Lust. Which is emphasized on the number of times she has had sex throughout the series, and by the X-ray of her brain during the opening sequence, which shows her only thoughts are about both: men and sex. Panty is also quite shameless, not caring when some broadcasters were able to see [and record] her panty-less, and even going as far as pole dancing in front of an audience, while on a live show.

Panty jogs to maintain her figure, and is annoyed that Stocking doesn't have to do this. She also claims her smaller chest size is more sensitive and responsive than Stocking's bigger breasts. Panty likes spicy food in general, and mentions disliking sugar. Her favorite snack is Death Babanero-flavored potato chips and has shown a great fondness in living a celebrity lifestyle.

Whenever Panty hunts ghosts, she works in a non-precautious way. She often takes the more reckless route, using pure power to finish the job. However, this style of fighting has caused her to be wide open for attacks, including losing her panties in the heat of the moment and forcing her to improvise with either, using normal weapons or other underwear.

Character Description [Stocking][]

Stocking is a level-headed and intelligent girl, though, she can be rude if provoked, especially towards her older sister, Panty. Stocking enjoys eating various desserts and sugary food, but doesn't seem to gain weight [she assures all the fat goes towards her breasts anyway]. However, she acts quite enraged and sensitive whenever anyone calls her fat. Stocking is often considered to be the personification of the deadly sin, Gluttony, due to her obsession with sweets. She does not share Panty's obsession with sex, even though she does display some masochistic tendencies, such as bondage, vore and electrocution. Which is ironic, since she constantly insults the demon sisters and Corset, by calling them 'BDSM loving freaks'. Instead, Stocking claims she has very special standards in men, and would rather be with someone she loves, than simply for sex. She strings men along [not wanting them to believe she is 'easy'], and would never cheat on someone she truly loves. However, she has been shown to have a very strange and twisted vision of what attractive is.

She hates spicy food, just as much as Panty hates sweet food. Stocking is sometimes overshadowed by Panty when in larger audiences, like in "Sex and the Daten City" and "1 Angry Ghost". She is almost always seen carrying around a plush cat, Honekoneko ["Bone Kitten"], whose expressions often match Stocking's mood.

Role in The Subspace Emissary[]

They briefly appear in Camp of Stars, as they are seen fighting two Shadaloo guards via Pyron's computer monitor. This is what prompts him to go down to Earth to search for them and meet their beauty.

Trivia[]

  • Panty & Stocking, Scanty & Kneesocks, Best Hercules, New Hercules, Mary, & Pyron are the only playable characters who aren't human.
